WHO FOUNDED THE FIRM?
Simply put, our clients did. They told us what they needed, and we created a cooperative based on those tenets. Drawing from 15 years of tradition at Jones Day, Theresia assembled a team around a business model designed to provide high-quality legal services with lower overhead, fewer client conflicts, and personalized service, with a mindfulness of many other advantages of a small firm.
HOW dID YOUR RATES DECREASE WITH THE NEW FIRM?
While most law firms fit a project to team, we started fresh, creating a structure that allows us to build a team around each project. Instead of carrying overhead, we tap into the experience of other lawyers as consulting counsel when needed. With us, our clients benefit from our long-standing relationships and ability to collaborate.
DON'T LITIGATORS JUST WANT TO LITIGATE?
Sure, we can take it to the mat when necessary, but we would much prefer to use our years of experience in the courtroom to keep you out of it. For us, even more satisfying than duking it out in court is to get our clients what they need to get it right the first time.
Why nationwide work?
In other industries, brick and mortar is no longer the locus of a company's value, and we believe the same to be true for the new generation of legal services. To this end, we invest our value in our ideas and our people. Theresia has personal roots in both Atlanta and San Francisco (she has called Atlanta home for 25 years and has had ancestors in the Bay Area every generation since 1865), and clients of all sizes benefit from the bi-coastal perspectives of the Southeast and Northwest.
WHY IS THE OFFICE ENVIRONMENT OF MOSER LAW CO.
SO IMPORTANT TO THE TEAM?
We primarily work in a repurposed turn-of-the-century factory in a neighborhood we call "home." Like us, our space has classic and sturdy foundations, and it breeds a sort of familiarity even for those who enter it for the first time. Also like us, the renovation of our building pioneered the neighborhood with inventive modern design. Come visit. Our space encourages interaction and open thinking. We are a gathering place for ideas and relationships. Even when we are doing important work, our resident dog, Satchmo, makes sure we don't take ourselves too seriously.
Why A female-owned business?
Aside from the obvious (Theresia is a female and the owner), we invested in obtaining our WOSB certification from the NWBOC based on requests from clients, many of whom have formal corporate initiatives for vendor inclusion. Moser Law Co. proudly serves people from all communities and backgrounds.
